How Stickers Help Your Company With Promotion
Stickers and decals put your company name, logo, and phone number in front of people everywhere your vehicles, storefront, and equipment go. Every mile on the 101 is an impression, every job site is a billboard, every storefront window is a sign working after hours. It is one of the cheapest forms of advertising a local business can buy: a one-time cost, no monthly fee, working 24/7 for years. At Vaderwerks we make both printed stickers (full-color logos and designs) and cut-vinyl decals (clean one-color lettering), and we help small businesses across the Conejo Valley put them to work.
Why Do Stickers Work for Company Promotion?
Because they go where your customers already look. A lettered work truck on the 101 gets seen by thousands of drivers a day — people stuck in traffic read everything. Park that same truck at a job site in Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village and it advertises to the whole neighborhood for free. A storefront window in Agoura Hills works the sidewalk all day and the street all night.
Compare that to digital ads: pay per click, pay per impression, budget gone the day you stop paying. A set of vehicle decals is a one-time cost that keeps working for years with zero ongoing spend. Stickers will not replace your Google presence — but for a local service business, the cost per impression over the life of a decal is about as low as advertising gets.
Where Should a Business Put Promotional Stickers?
Start with the vehicles. Work trucks, vans, and trailers are the highest-value real estate a small business owns — they travel, they park in driveways in front of future customers, and they say "we are a real company" before you say a word. Rear windows, tailgates, and doors are the classic spots.
Then the storefront: window graphics with your logo, hours, and services turn foot and drive-by traffic into walk-ins. Then equipment — trailers, toolboxes, job-site signs. And do not forget the small stuff: hard-hat stickers, laptop stickers, and handouts at the counter. Every one is a tiny billboard with your name on it. Printed Stickers vs Cut-Vinyl Decals: What's the Difference?
Two different products, two different jobs.
Printed stickers are full color — your logo, photos, gradients, any design you can imagine — printed on vinyl, laminated for outdoor life, and cut to any shape. Die-cut to the shape of your logo, or kiss-cut on a backing sheet for easy peeling. These are your handouts, your storefront graphics, your full-color vehicle stickers.
Cut-vinyl decals are one-color lettering and shapes, cut from solid-color vinyl with the background weeded away. No printing at all — just clean, crisp color. These are your door lettering, your phone number across a tailgate, the "licensed and insured" line under a logo. One color, maximum readability, classic trade look.
Pick printed when the design needs color. Pick cut vinyl when the message needs to read at 65 mph. Most of our business customers end up with both. The shape options for printed stickers are worth knowing too: Die-Cut vs Kiss-Cut Stickers Explained.
How Much Do Business Stickers and Decals Cost?
Decals are priced by quantity tier, per square foot: 1 to 199 pieces at $21 per square foot, 200 to 400 at $18, 401 to 800 at $16, with pricing continuing to drop on larger runs. As a real example, 150 white die-cut decals at 2 by 5 inches runs about $225 total. Bigger orders bring the per-piece cost down fast — that is the whole point of the tiers.
Printed stickers have their own chart by size and quantity — no 20-piece tier, starting at 50. A few anchors from our 3x3 chart: 50 for $69.00, 100 for $88.55, 200 for $140.30, 300 for $164.45, 500 for $205.85, and 1,000 for $273.70. Larger sizes scale from there, and custom sizes get quoted from your file.
Printed and cut-vinyl are different products with different rates — do not mix the two pricings. For an exact quote on either, email your file to info@vaderwerks.com with the quantity and size and we will price it out.
What Do You Need From Us to Get Started?
One thing first: do you have a file or logo designed? If you can, email it to info@vaderwerks.com and include the quantity and size you want. Tell us about any special requests too — transparent printed stickers, printed on chrome, anything like that for printed work, or a specific color in mind for cut-vinyl decals. With the file, quantity, and size in hand, we can quote it out fast and accurately.
No file yet? Tell us what the sticker should say and we can talk through options. But the fastest path from idea to stickers on your truck is a logo file in your first email.
How Many Stickers Should a Business Order?
More than you think, and the pricing rewards it. The per-piece cost drops hard as quantities climb — true on both the decal tiers and the printed chart. For most small businesses, 100 to 500 is the sweet spot: enough for every vehicle, the storefront, and a stack of handouts, at a per-piece price that makes sense.
Think about where they will all go before you order: count vehicles, windows, equipment, and how many you hand out in a month. Running out in three weeks and reordering 50 at the top tier costs more than ordering 200 once. Plan the job, then order to the plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a sticker and a decal?
A sticker is printed in full color and cut to shape — any design, any colors. A decal is one-color vinyl, cut and weeded — clean lettering and simple shapes in a single solid color. We make both; the right one depends on your design.
Can stickers go on a wrapped vehicle?
Yes. Vinyl sticks to vinyl just fine. We put decals and stickers on wrapped vehicles all the time — fleet lettering over a wrap is a standard job for us.
How long do promotional stickers last?
Years outdoors. Printed stickers are laminated against UV and weather; cut-vinyl decals are solid color all the way through, so there is nothing to fade. Parked in Conejo Valley sun every day, expect years of clean readability.
What file do you need for my logo?
A vector file (AI, EPS, or PDF) is ideal, especially for cut-vinyl decals. For printed stickers, a high-resolution PNG works. Email it to info@vaderwerks.com with your quantity and size.
Do you install vehicle decals or just make them?
Both. We install at our Agoura Hills shop, and we ship decals and stickers anywhere if you would rather install them yourself.
